Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
As Demon King, Noah is dedicated to protecting his kind from their human and Nightwalker enemies. Yet for six months he has struggled with vivid dreams that threaten his very sanity. Every night he's tormented by images of a woman both achingly real and tantalisingly beyond his grasp. And his bone-deep need leaves him no choice but to force her to leave the life she's known and enter a world beyond her imagining.Every day, Kestra risks her life in perilous missions that veer just shy of the law, but she instinctively knows that the imposingly sensual figure before her is a danger unlike any she's ever faced. Kestra has sworn never to trust or need another man, but Noah's lightest touch scorches her with fevered desire, branding her as his mate, blinding them both to the terrifying truth. For within ranks of their own people lies an adversary growing in number and power. And nothing and no one will be safe again.

2 out of 5 stars Seriously.... Is that what it has come to?   November 6, 2008

What a disappointment. We follow this whole series to get to the story about Noah and he is reduced to a whining sniveling brat. His heroine is no better. I wanted to smack her upside the head so many times it wasn't funny. I found myself reading, just to finish the book.

There wasn't any real chemistry between them. He wasn't the controlled Fire Demon that we all know and love. He was a mess. I could have done without the whole love story and focused on the plot to find Ruth and her band of witches.

I would say, get this from the used book store because it does tie up some loose ends but read on a rainy day. Don't waste gorgeous weather reading it.

3 out of 5 stars 3 stars it was just too much of everything.   October 31, 2008
The problem I had with this book is that everything was just too much. There was too much lovin' and there was way to many stories going on at once. I also thought the herione was a little much in the beginning and then she just went bleh. If you aren't going to make her such a wow character I think she should of been that way through the whole book.

The biggest problem I had with the book was that there was way too many stories going on at once. I want to read about the main characters not everyone inbetween I have already read their stories and loved them. I don't need a repeat of those stories. I want this one to stand on its own, especially because I was looking forward to this book. I still love Noah, but still am not sure she was right for him.

5 out of 5 stars What a great series!   October 22, 2008

I absolutely love this series, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book Noah. I was a bit disappointed at the quick ending, but not enough to downgrade my rating. I wish there were more players, and this series wouldn't end.... The author Jacki Frank is one of the best authors I've ever read in this genre. I recommend the whole series, in order, to anyone who wants to lose themselves in a great story.

4 out of 5 stars Noah (Nightwalkers, Book 5)   October 9, 2008

I enjoyed all the Nightwalker series by Jacqueline Franks. I am looking forward in great anticipation to her new Shadowwalker series. I enjoyed the well-developed characters and the multifacted world that Ms. Frank developed for her books. I hope to see many more books from this very promising author.

4 out of 5 stars NOAH Great addition to the Nightwalkers series!   October 8, 2008

I just finished reading this latest book in the Nightwalkers series by Jacquelyn Frank and I really enjoyed it. I would say it is my second favorite in the series. My favorite is of course the first book (Jacob) which introduced us to the world of the Nightwalkers. Loved the characters of Noah and Kestra. I thought they were developed really well and I enjoyed the plot and the action and the conflict that developed between some of the characters and how it was resolved. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that the ending was a tad abrupt but I hope that we will see more of these characters in her new series focusing on the Shadowdwellers. Overall, a great read and a great addition to the Nightwalkers series.
