Product Description Seven sisters...and a legacy of magical secrets.Bestselling novelist Kate Drake is one of seven sisters gifted with amazing powers of witchcraft. Returning home in time for her northern California town's annual Christmas pageant, Kate catches the spirit of the season and decides to open a bookstore in a charming but run-down historic mill. Decorated former U.S. Army Ranger Matt Granite, now a local contractor, doesn't mind working in the undeniably eerie house -- not if it means getting closer to Kate. There's something about the quiet, sensual woman that powerfully attracts him. When an earthquake cracks the mill's foundation and reveals a burial crypt, Kate senses that a centuries-old evil has been unleashed?and that it's coming after her. Though Matt vows to guard her from dusk till dawn, Kate knows she will have to summon all of her and her sisters' powers to battle the darkness threatening to destroy both Christmas and the gift of soul-searing passion her hometown hero wants her to keep forever....

The Twilight before Christmas October 6, 2008 I enjoyed this book, and the whole Drake sisters series.. each one was different with different personalities..
This one is much better than the first September 2, 2008 I read Oceans of Fire first and fell in love with book and the Drake family. So I had to catch up on the rest of the sisters so I began the series with book No. 1. Magic in the Wind was a very short read and left me a little disappointed because it wasn't as in depth as the first book that I had read. Twilight Before Christmas is book No. 2 in the Drake Sisters saga. It was definitly more satisfying than the first book and I loved Kate and Matt. I really enjoyed how Feehan spreads the stories out so that each sister gets her own story. When I first read Oceans of Fire (Book 3) I was disappointed that the other sisters were not elaborated on and that their love stories didn't get incorporated into the storyline. However, now that I understand Feehan's writing style I see how each sister gets her moment in the spotlight. I did see little bits and pieces of the sisters that would hint at what would come. Hannah and Jonas still seem to be my favorite couple and I cannot wait to read Joley and Elle's story. It wasn't until this book that I actually could see a little glimmer of hope between Elle and Jackson which made me very excited. To put it simply...Love it.
LOVED IT August 27, 2008 I love the drake series. This one is very good one. Couldn't let go
Awesome Read August 12, 2008 This book is a great addition to the drake sisters series and is an awesome example of what christine feehan can accomplish.
Pretty bad writing! April 18, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I thought this book was stupid, to put it bluntly. The mist that takes material form so that it can throw things because it hates Christmas? The relationship between Matt and Kate? Two people who have lived years apart on different continents and did not even attend school together? They were never friends that I could detect from the storyline. Yet, each KNEW the other was the only one for them. What utter tripe. Maybe the man in the mist is more believable than the love story, now that I consider it farther. A stinker of a book.
For the record, I read and enjoyed the Hannah story! That made this all the more disappointing to me.
