Good... September 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Good "Drake Sisters" Book. But, very different from the rest of the series in that the Drake Sisters were barely in it until the very end. Gotta be honest for fans on the series, the ending scene with all the sisters together would make you not like them very much if you had not read the previous books. Dont let it fool you the other books are very good, you should definately read them. Illya is my favorite male characater in the Drake Sisters series (then Aleksandr, must be a Russian thing). I liked him as a well rounded character well written character, for good and for bad, (not so macho you want to go into the book and slap him, but just enough)and they way he stood up at the end for Joley with sisters was just a great. I dont understand why Aleksandr is not in the book at all since he is Illya's only friend, that would have been great. But you should definately give this s read.

This book is amazing! I think this is the best of the Drake Sister series at least so far... This book is about Joley who is always trying to be strong but she just needed a strong man to give her the balance she was lacking and Ilya gave that to her, at first I wasn't sure that I was going to like them together but long before the end of the book I changed my mind. Great read thank you Christine Feehan!!!Turbulent Sea (Drake Sisters, Book 6)

******Warning may be some spoilers*****
I was dying for this book...I was checking so often to make sure I did not miss the release date. Joley next to Abigail's story was by far the most highly anticipated one on my part. I hate saying this, because I love Feehan's writing, but it was not what I expected and a bit disappointing. It was missing something...I wanted the joley who proclaimed to be a black belt, who confronts a perverted reverand on live TV, and someone who is loyal and dedicated enough to go the extreme dangerous mile to maybe help and investigate the people in distress in the book.
The drake series is my favorite---having many sisters of my own I can try to relate---and it involves smart, strong, women who find smart, strong, men who accpet their magickal side and are greta in bed as they should be ;)
So back to Joley's story, there was some good action on both the sensual and danger side. But I wanted more depth from Ilya more background---yeah we get he was trained young and he was sapped of emotion in order to survive that is not new---this book had me thinking of dark series as soon as I read a couple chapters---which is ok for the dark series---BUT---NOT great when is comes to drake series.
I was really hoping that feehan would delve into elle's story but I think I could live with it so long as Elle's story picks up from when she suddenly vanishes and everyone is searching for her.
So to conclude this looooong spiel---joley's story: a bit of a let down but I bought it and have read it 3 times so far so what can I say oh yeah--- ELLE'S STORY BETTER BE LONGER AND MORE ACTION PACKED cus it is the most important of the drake stories although I wouldn't mind continueing the saga with Ilya and Joley's 7 sons!!!! WOOT love that twist!
