A must have!!!! April 25, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was a great purchase for planning my wedding. I love the format and carry it with me whenever I go to do wedding stuff. This is very helpful to provide a visual for my vendors so they don't come up with their own interpretation. I took several bridal magazines and added "collage" sheets for ideas and inspiration so I don't have to hunt through all of the magazines for that certain centerpiece. The only reason I didn't give this is a 5 is that the quality of the binder itself it poor as my cover started tearing off the spine in a matter of days. Since then, I have transferred my pages into a different binder and will put them back in the Martha binder after our wedding.
LOVE this Book April 22, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Ok, this is the greatest wedding book ever...and who else created this for women, but Martha Stewart. This book was fantastic...offered tons and tons of information, lots of cute little ideas and pockets in the book for easy and convenient storage.
I used this a few months into my planning because of the reviews on Amazon and I absolutely LOVE it!
Very disappointed!! March 25, 2006 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
I was expecting much more from Martha!! I wonder if she evens knows what this planner has (or actually, doesnt have) in it! I would not recommend purchasing this. Definitely go to a book store and preview the planner before purchasing. The only things I like about it are that its full sized with a lot of places to store misc. papers and the advice that comes with it. But, I subsrube to MS weddings, put the advice in there. I like the Simple Stunning wedding planner much better. I felt the MS Planner was a whole lot of nothing.
Martha is just the best! February 26, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I absolutely love this wedding planner. If you are a sucker for Martha and her style, then this is the planner for you! The best things about it are:
-- beautiful pictures, tons of ideas, and great tips for every part of the wedding (etiquette, traditions, etc.)
-- the flower section is great because it has pictures of every kind of flower grouped together by color, so it's easy to compare each one to the next
-- Martha only includes one copy of certain pages you will need multiples of (like there is only one guest list page with room for five guests), and some people saw this as inconvenient. However, if you go to marthastewart.com/weddings, she has the same exact pages there that are available to download for free! (the website is also a great wedding resource!)
-- the book is a 3-ring binder, which makes it so easy to add extra pages, menus, printouts, etc.
-- there are pockets, a business card holder, and a zipper pouch for smaller things you want to keep (brochures, fabric swatches, etc.)
-- and overall, it is just pure Martha! That woman does it all!
I would highly recommend this product to all my fellow brides-to-be! Happy planning!
Extremely helpful February 24, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This wedding planner is the best. It is the only thing I carry around. It is a three-ring binder that can hold quite a bit, although I wish it was a bit larger. It is one of the largest and most comprehensive planners on the market. In true Martha style, she covers everything. The sections included are: Getting Started, Guests, Stationery, Fashion & Beauty, Ceremony, Reception, Flowers, Music & Photography, Cakes & Favors, and Registry & Honeymoon. The floral section was by far the most helpful section in this book- she covers every type of flower by color that I relied on heavily when making choices for my bouquets. She also includes sheets (I recommend making multiple copies of each) to use for wedding timelines, important contacts, seating arrangments, photo shots, music, etc... everything to keep you on track so you don't forget anything. There are also folder pockets to store contracts, fabric swatches, etc. which disappointingly do not hold a standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, some sealable plastic sleeves (again, can't hold standard sheets) and a page for business cards. All in all, this planner has been with me since I've been engaged and has helped tremendously. It is a great reference in addition to "The Best of Martha Stewart Weddings".
