Finally a wedding book for everyone! April 26, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the only all inclusive wedding book out there that I have been able to find. It has everything in it for brides young and old and is written with intelligence and humor. A great read!
Finally! A wedding book for intelligent grownups. April 14, 1999 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I recommend this book to anyone who has been disappointed by other wedding guides and magazines. Whenever I have been confronted with the task of doing research for a wedding, whether my own or a friend's, I have had to gag at what's available in the way of information and advice for people getting married. Most of it is archaic, sexist crap. The Knot has provided a genuinely unique, 90's perspective for adults who are contemplating marriage, and for their friends and families. The testimonials in the book help to bridge the gap between sexes, races, cultures, generations. If you want to avoid going insane over your wedding, you must get this book so you can see you are not alone! I wish I had had it, so now I give it as a gift to all my marrying friends.
Every bride and groom should BUY THIS BOOK! April 13, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am so thankful for The Knot book! It has helped me so much with good advice and creative ideas. But, most of all, I like it because it's different -- I sometimes have funky ideas and The Knot doesn't chide me for that. It has helped me realize that my wedding can be whatever I want it to be and I don't have to follow ALL the rules. I use the website too, but the book is great because it travels so well!! Highly recommended.
I give this book to every engaged couple I know !! April 13, 1999 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The Knot book is my favorite gift to give my engaged friends-- it offers not only great ideas but offers honest insight into the challenges of planning a wedding, including down-to-earth advice on relationships -- with your partner, your family and your friends. This book has a TON of information in it -- everything from seating charts and budgets to honeymoon and gift ideas..anyone who is planning a wedding can appreciate that. Forget all those stuffy etiquette books -- get The Knot book and free yourself from unnecessary wedding stress!!
exactly what I have been looking for! April 13, 1999 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I recently ordered this book and have read it cover to cover! I take it everywhere with me - to appointments with vendors and on my morning commute. It is true that a lot of this information is on the website, but this book is exactly what I have been wishing for - a knot that I can take with me! (the facts and tips in the margins of the book are my favorite part)
