EXCELLENT Advice January 19, 2006 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Having never been involved with any wedding planning, this book has been a life saver!! I have read and re-read the book many times as well as, shared it with my mother and my fiance. The checklists of questions for venue, florist, baker, etc. are invaluable. It has been the best wedding purchase to far and I highly recommend it to anyone!
Pointless and Useless drivel!!! August 15, 2005 10 out of 15 found this review helpful
This book was so unrealistic. It made absolutely no sense whatsoever. I would not recommend a struggling couple on tight budget to waste thier money on this book. Spend on your wedding. There was no advice about having a great wedding on a small budget. It was old fashioned ideas that any women with some sense of style and reality would choose for their wedding.
Fantastic!! We are on our way to a wonderful wedding July 20, 2005 4 out of 10 found this review helpful
I am sure I am not unlike most soon to be brides who begin to think of all the details that the wedding day will take and say, "Wow, this is going to be stressful." But this book really helps to give direction and to put things into perspective. I have looked through and read other books, and this one has plain old english to guide you. I feel much more relaxed now that I have things under control :)

How to Have an Elegant Wedding... March 8, 2005 17 out of 19 found this review helpful
I would change the name to "How to Have an Elegant Wedding..." - there wasn't too many tips I felt I could utilize that would bring the costs to $5,000 or less. However, I would recommend it as it has excellent information in virutally every category involved in wedding planning. I especially liked the checklists of questions to ask when calling photographers, reception sites, florists, etc. There were several things I would not have thought to ask. All in all, I give it a high rating because of the information content and structure of the book.
Elegant Weddings under $5000 July 30, 2004 33 out of 36 found this review helpful
Great tips! However, this book also shares the same information as Bridal Budgets and other books of this category. The print is easy on the eyes, unlike Bridal Budgets by Denise Fields, and is a little more easy to understand and actually do! I suggest this book before buying Bridal Budgets. It's very informative and less stressful to read.
