Archbishop Chaput has said Biden shouldn't stand for communion due to his pro right stance on abortion...I thought only God could judge man and he forgives all his children. How can the archbishop tell someone that he can or can not receive God's life on account of his personal judgement against another. Stick to reading something by a real clergymen not "private citizen" who removes his cloth to make his political viewpoints. Sorry Archbishop Chaput but your a phoney.

Render Unto Caesar gives a Catholic and Christian perspective of our country dating back to the time of the American Revolution. It is helpful in describing our Christian obligations as voters during this election year.

Well written case for the Christian command to invoke our Catholic beliefs as we are involved or get involved in society and the political process. I learned a great deal about the history of how Catholic ideology has shaped the Western World and the Nation from its very beginning.

Render Unto Caesar: Serving the Nation by Living our Catholic Beliefs in Political Life
This is an awesome book for everyone -- not just Catholics, not just Christians, but any person of faith who struggles to reconcile their values with their responsibilities as citizens. I recommend reading it with a highlighter as there are so many things you will want to come back to.
The part on Martin Luther King was OUTASITE!!!!!!! October 13, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm not sure I fully agreed with nonjudgemental on out of diocese acceptance of public figures on abortion but the rest of the book swung all the way to Moscow!!!!!
