This album doesn't really deserve 1 star. Very Misleading Title. July 4, 2008 After the first two songs, there is nothing "Irish" about this CD. And definitely nothing on it at all that I would even play at a wedding. I might consider one song for the reception. Maybe.
Waste of time, waste of money. There is so much great music out there, this doesn't even deserve one star.
Older songs. December 22, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The songs on this cd are very old and have that old hollywood sweet type of feel to them. Good for an older couple or a very old fashioned couple.
Not what I wanted-Not even close. July 8, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
If there is such a thing as Irish country music, then this is the worst form of it. I was expecting instrumentals or something appropriate to play at a wedding. There is not one good song on this CD and there is definitely nothing here that can be played at a wedding. The title is definitely misleading.
The Vow by Druidstone is a much better choice January 1, 2002 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
While I was doing research for my book - The Traditional Irish Wedding - I wanted to be able to recommend as much authentic Irish music as possible for both the ceremony and the reception. The book came about because our daughter wanted a celebration reflective of her roots; we ended up with all Irish music for the ceremony, including a Celtic Mass. The same was true of the reception. There is so much great Irish music available that the problem for most couples will be deciding what to include and what to leave out. Except for The Irish Wedding Song and My Wild Irish Rose, it's my opinion that this particular CD is misleading as to its name and content.

Yuck! My fiance is from Ireland and this is exactly the type of "Irish" music we want to avoid at our wedding. We don't want the family on this side of the Atlantic to get the wrong impression. Look elsewhere, this is no bargin.
