too cute January 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is such a cute stationery set! I like to handwrite letters and already have plenty of other stationery sets, but couldn't resist this one. It would make a great gift for a sushi fan.
The set comes with 16 stationery sheets and envelopes, both in four different designs, and a 16 sushi stickers. The sheets have designs on one side and are white with tiny little polkadots on the other side, so if you think the side with the designs is too busy to write on you can use the other side. I use a regular ballpoint pen to write with and don't have any problems.
Fun and Unique April 2, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this recently after aquiring a few new pen pals. Some have mentioned how you can't write on this with anything other than bic type pens without sacrificing the fun graphics on the other side of the paper. My experience is that it bled through only minimally -- Not enough to "ruin" the graphic.
This is fun, unique paper that my friends just get a kick out of. I woudl reccomend it if you are looking for something new and different.
My 1950's typwriter works wonderfully with this paper, and I plan to buy more!
Very bright March 13, 2007 The paper is very bright and loud, but I find that if I use black my letters can still be read without any real difficulty. People always laugh when they get letters on this stationary because they really are so much fun.
I'm wouldn't buy this again November 5, 2004 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
The stationery is cute and colorful, but the pages are very cluttered. While the envelopes have spaces to write addresses and put return labels, the pages are too colorful and bold. A ballpoint or ink pen doesn't look good on the paper.
Delicious! July 12, 2004 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
What a wonderful little piece of stationery! I write a lot and enjoy the mix & match trend and so, have bought a couple of these sets and have liked each of them to various extents. Believe me, none of them come close to the Sushi-nery set. First off, you can't beat the cute name, can you? It made me smile but I got to love this set for other reasons. First of all, the designs are varied, creative, and very colorful. Not only that, this is the first TRUE mix & match set I've ever seen. All others have a set pattern in both sheets and envelopes which just makes sense to put together every time and not in any other way. This one just lets you pair off any sheet with any envelope and it always looks great. The paper is the same good quality as we've come to expect from Chronicle Books (not excellent but good enough and a fair value for the price) and includes colorful stickers to top it all off as well as special shaded spaces on the envelope to write the addresses. Oh, did I mention this is the only mix & match stationery set that's got ruled paper? It's obvious they've come a long way since they first started making these sets and they're only getting better with time. This is so good, I'm almost on my second Sushi-nery set already. I really recommend this to anyone who enjoys writing letters or any friendly note and to just about anyone with a little fun streak somewhere in there. You'll really enjoy it!
