Product Description
Compiled with advanced beginners and intermediate designers in mind, this guidebook starts with the basics of wire wrapping and builds skills progressively as aspiring crafters work through each project. The easy-to-follow instructions emphasize safety first and list all the steps required to get started, with a detailed discussion given to using tools such as pliers and wire cutters—wire wrapping does not require a soldering torch—and selecting appropriate materials such as copper, brass, and sterling silver. Finishing these stunning projects are a snap with the tips, tricks, and techniques shared within—jewelry crafters will delight in the resulting pieces that include beautiful bracelets, Celtic earrings, wire wrapped rings, and a wire-wrapped cabochon.

Great Book! December 24, 2008 I love this book! It has hints that I've never seen in other books. I can't wait to get the wire, and start making the bracelets. The instruction look like they would be very easy to follow. I'll be looking at the other books that Linda has written. A real winner! Thanks!
Jewelry Studio Wire Wrapping December 20, 2008 This book is an incredible piece of work. Five stars are not enough. I am a rabid crafter and I look at dozens of crafting books every year but I have never seen one that is so very well done. The bracelet projects are stunning, the instructions are clear and complete, the authors are helpful in every way to insure your success. As I said, I look at lots of books, mostly from our library, I rarely buy a book but I had to have this one. It is so well written and thought out that it would be suitable for anyone interested in wire wrapping as well as a more experienced person. If you are looking for a book on wire wrapping or on making beautiful jewelry seriously consider this one, it is a gem. nancy
Wire wrapped projects you want to wear October 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A beautifully photographed book with very wearable projects, I was pleased to see that this book is not a beginner's book as many wire wrapping books are. However, each project's instructions are so detailed that a beginner would be able to follow them and could make the projects with some practice. So far, this is one of the best wire wrap books I own!
Perfect! October 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The team of Linda Chandler and Christine Ritchey are back with another fabulous book on wire. Part of Interweave's Jewelry Studio series, Wire Wrapping is the only book you'll need to learn wire wrapping. The authors go over tools and materials in Chapter One and then on to Wire Fundamentals in Chapter Two. Chapter two includes explanations on straightening wire, making jump rings and a catch and clasp. Basic Projects such as a basic bracelet, dress-up bracelet and my favorite, Celtic Knots are included in Chapter Three. The book ends with Chapter Four that describes projects to take you to the next level in your wire wrapping skills. There are projects instructions for making a ring and using patterned wire. A list of resources and index at the back of the book are very helpful.
The photographs demonstrating the techniques and project steps are clear and detailed. Shots are close up so you can see exactly how the work is done. Good how to photographs are a hallmark of Linda and Christine's books. Perfect for the self taught wire wrapper.
