A sweet guest book and good value May 29, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this book because I was tired of the puffy satin-covered books I kept seeing at wedding sites. If you are looking for something a little less gaudy and much easier to store (and to keep clean!!) this is the guestbook for you. The art nouveau pattern on the covers is lovely and reminds me of ironwork you might see in New Orleans. The little photo on the side is actually a picture of place cards with leaves set between them, and it works very well for the wedding motif. Also note that the entire cover is completely flat and aside from the cloth binding has no texture. I gave this four stars rather than five because I think they could have chosen a better font for the word "guests" on the cover, it looks like an afterthought. I also think that the cover could have been put on a little bit more cleanly. When you look at it from the side under the light you can see some irregularities in the adhesive that holds it together.
Knowing that, I think I still would have purchased this book. The design is good, it's got plenty of room for guests to sign and leave notes and the bookmarker is very handy and attractive.
