| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Picture Hemingway jotting in a notebook while surrounded by veteran war correspondents or Van Gogh struggling to capture his tortured thoughts with quick sketches and notes. This is the notebook they both used, the Italian Moleskine with acid-free pages, thread bound within a moleskin cover and secured with an elastic band. Inside the back cover is an expandable pocket made of cloth and paper; perfect for receipts, trinkets, memories or business cards.

Nice, BUT ... September 26, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've used several of these, and the paper quality is very uneven in the way it reacts to fountain pen inks. One works just great: on the next the ink might feather badly, or bleed right through, especially when I use a thick nib.
If you're a ballpoint user, this notebook is great. If, like me, you prefer a fountain pen, I recommend Clairefontaine or Exacompta journals -- Clairefontaine even make one with unruled pages.

In case you're not sure. The book is the hardcover one. Nice price in my opinion, although amazon raised it. I payed 13,46 three days ago.
The classic is still the best October 25, 2004 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Whether writing random thoughts while on an airplane, making a sketch while on vacation, or taking all important notes in that business meeting, all who are in your presence will take note of the small but sleek notebook you are writing in. While soemwhat of a throwback to the days when people wrote on real paper with real ink, its' timelessness captivates the imagination, spurring the owner to write more and more in the pages.
