| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Dornbusch, Fischer, and Startz has been a long-standing, leading intermediate macroeconomic theory text since its introduction in 1978. This revision retains most of the texts traditional features, including a middle-of-the-road approach and very current research, while updating and simplifying the exposition. This revision focuses on making the text even easier to teach from. The only pre-requisite continues to be principles of economics.

clean editing and presentation November 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Note: I am refering to the Asia-Pacific version of this book, same content but different case studies.
In deciding which book on macroeconomics to recommend I am tossing between this book and Oliver Blanchard's.
I really liked using this book:
+ the presentation is clean + it "feels" professional + good mathematical treatments + efficient exercises and just enough of them + includes coverage of advanced topics + clear explanations + relevant case studies + the chapters flow nicely into eachother
Compared to Mankiw's book Macroeconomics, this book feels more professional, Mankiw's almost felt like a children's book. This feels like an investment in other words.
