Sufficient information... July 26, 2008 I have never used a manual on Microsoft Office. I've always learned new material by exploring on the computer. I think this book would be ideal for someone who has no familiarity with the Microsoft Office programs. It has lots of illustration and includes a disk. This one is taylored for 2007 which is good, because the two programs do look differently. If you are, however, pretty comfortable using Office, you really won't beneftit much from the book. Perhaps the title should include: for Beginners
Check the table of contents May 17, 2007 The content in this book is adequate and it is easy to follow the projects listed. Be clear on your purpose for this book and then check the table of contents to ensure it will support your need. It does not provide instruction for preparing newsletters and spreadsheets.
For those not in the know March 13, 2007 This is a well-written book on Microsoft Office, but if you are able to learn a software program (or even know what one is) on your own then you probably don't need this book. Flipping through it I do not venture to say it teaches me much beyond the basic of Microsoft Office. But if you are brand new to all this technology stuff it is well written and a good choice.
